Golden Films was founded by Russian-born documentary filmmaker and photographer Inna Ivanovskaya, driven by a desire to connect with others through visual storytelling—a universal language that moves beyond borders, and where shared human experience finds its voice.
I immerse myself in the lives and experiences of others as a way to better understand my own and to relate to another human being and to spark a conversation. By building trust and connection with my subjects I am then able to document their life over a prolonged period of time in order to reveal their true nature and lifestyle through an empathetic gaze. Through this practice, I seek to create spaces where shared vulnerability becomes a source of strength and recognition.
Golden Films is named for my love of visual storytelling and my dog, who has accompanied me throughout my creative journey every step of the way.
